“I choose love. No occasion justifies hatred. No injustice warrants bitterness. I choose love.”

Hi there!
Thanks for hopping on over to the Bio page. I really enjoy visiting with you.
Basically, I’m all about family, friends, and faith. My family and friends are a major part of my life. However, my faith is what sustains me, keeps me grounded, and focused.
As you can tell from most of my photos, I am a country girl. Born and raised on a South Georgia farm, I followed on my father's heels as a child, loving and nurturing the land. Bound by family heritage, my formative years on the family's farm fostered such an appreciation for the wholesome values taught by farm life that I will forever consider myself a true daughter of the soil.
Presently, my husband and I own and operate a small cattle farm where I have raised my share of newborn calves, not to mention, baby rabbits, squirrels and chicks that have been abandoned or orphaned. All wildlife, especially deer and turkeys, find a safe and friendly haven here at Dry Branch Farm where you are always welcomed, but not to hunt!
Now as a retired school teacher, I continue my love for writing life's lessons attuned to strong men and women. As an author, my deepest desire as a writer is to always display a keen perception and sympathetic heart that will forever be endeared by readers.
Thanks again for visiting this site. You are always welcome and if you would like to stay connected (and I hope you will), follow me on www.facebook/authorjgjakes.com. I’d love to hear from you.
Blessings,
J.G. Jakes
